Adaptive Filler Wire Feeding

Soufil® is a technology developed by Soutec which allows measuring the gap steadily. The filler wire and laser beam will be positioned with a tolerance of 0.02 mm, not only absolute but also relative to the gap. This unique measurement and control system makes it possible to produce clearly specified and consistent weld profiles, although the edge quality allows an undefined gap in the range of up to 0.3 mm.
