We generally differentiate between the following welding programs: | |
|---|---|
continuous current welding | In continuous current welding, the work pieces to be joined together are continuously fed through the roller electrodes and a constant weld current is flowing. A so called “seal weld” is created. |
roll spot welding | In roll spot welding, the work pieces to be joined together also move continuously. The current flows with interruptions, thus creating a so-called “stitch weld”. This method is utilized for less demanding requirements. Cost savings are recognized through the lower use of electricity and wire intermediate electrodes. |
